# Notice: what each licence covers

- **Code: [MIT](./LICENSE).** Everything in this repository except what's listed below. That includes:
  - the tokens;
  - the CSS;
  - the JavaScript helpers and the React components;
  - the icon set;
  - the pattern geometry (including its eight-point star, a cell of the pattern);
  - the build, release and test tooling;
  - the documentation.
- **Brand assets: not licensed.** The Arabesque and Arabesque Labs logos, marks and wordmark lockups, and the badges and social cards drawn from them, are the property of Arabesque Labs Ltd. All rights reserved: they are not covered by the MIT licence. That includes:
  - the files in `assets/brand/` and `dist/brand/`;
  - the mark artwork in `react/src/brand.tsx` (`Mark`, `Lockup`, `MARK_PATHS`);
  - the badges and social cards drawn by `scripts/badges.mjs` and `scripts/social.mjs`;
  - the same marks wherever the built pages show them.

  The code around them stays MIT. The licence for the brand assets is still to be decided. Until then, no rights are granted beyond those the law allows.
- **Fonts** keep their own licences: Jost, Newsreader, IBM Plex Mono, IBM Plex Sans Arabic, Kufam and Amiri are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, whose texts are in `fonts/`.
